when i sit in my stylist’s chair
she asks me what i’d like to have done
i’m pretty casual and relaxed about my hair
looking to my right
I say
well, actually the exact opposite
of whatever is going on
with the woman’s head in the mirror next to us
and i’ll be happy, thanks.

Good choice, Beth. 😊 I remember when I was young that barbers had photos of styles all around the walls. We used to point at one and say, “Like that”.
Best wishes, Pete.

She’s so easy to work with, we just chat and laugh and there’s no strew or worry. She knows I like messy casual and it’s a bit different each time

That’s how I ended up with Lisa. She just knew. Trust is an amazing thing.

LOL. “The opposite of whatever’s going on” – I’m going to have to use that when I go get my hair done. 😁
I just went to get my son’s haircut, and the lady started grabbing all over my hair and messing with it.
I felt like slapping her hand and telling her, “NO!”. ha.
She was telling my daughter if she does her hair, she wants something like mine.
I love hair stylists though. It’s just hard to find a great one.

Hair is an interesting vanity. Mine is falling out, but is still important (to me).

It really is, an important accessory. I think I must’ve tried out every possible thing you could have over the years with my hair, but luckily it most often grows back.

I think this method might work. Like, let’s do it similar to two mirrors down, but just take it down a notch h. 🤣😀 Fun post.

😂 Thanks for the laugh! I had a dear aunt who was also a beautician. She was a hardworking salon owner who enjoyed putting me in hair shows, always experimenting. 🤣 Natural works best for me now.

“Messy casual” Love that! 👍🏻 Cherished memories of my aunt, who was more like a mom. Sadly, she passed a few days after turning 50. I was in my 30s. Every day is a gift!

I have to share this with my hairstylist, who’s become a dear friend over the years, beth.
I had a bad perm many years ago (before meeting the above), and when I complained to a dear friend, she said: “One thing about a permanent is that it’s temporary!”

so funny, and I’ve had the bad perms back in the day as well )

So funny! My hair is wavy so if I get the wrong stylist, my cut does look like that woman! My stylist has to cut my hair dry and then wash it and finish styling otherwise I look like Bill the Cat.
