yesterday a stranger

came up to me in a store

to offer a few kind words

surprising me and making my day

the power of words never fails to amaze me.

  1. Oh, Beth, I needed to read your words this morning. Kind words can uplift and I am so glad you were the recipient of a stranger’s kindness.

At the grocery store the other day, I saw a man with the word “harmony” tattooed on one arm and an image of an old-style microphone on the other arm. I told him I liked his tattoos. His daughter is named Harmony. And he’s a musician. I told him to keep creating. He smiled and thanked me. His appreciative response was a kindness to me also.

  2. This is quietly lovely. It captures how something so small and fleeting can leave a lasting imprint. I like how the simplicity of the moment mirrors the message itself, kindness doesn’t need grand gestures to matter. It’s a gentle reminder that words carry weight, and that even a brief human connection can brighten an entire day. 🌤️
