wordpress sent me my post from last year on this date and it still applies
*pro reader tip: my blog name origin story is at the end

it’s national eyewear day
so I’ll be celebrating
by scheduling my annual eye doctor appointment
life is good
as far as I can see.
until I get my new glasses
and then things might look different.

‘the reason things have or have not happened in my life is because i didn’t have my glasses on.’
– an astute observation about me by one of my triad of daughters
beth k. – mom/writer/many other things too

People think it’s funny when I tell them I can’t hear them because I don’t have my glasses on! But it’s true.

One of my favorite memories of my mom is when we were at my sister’s house, and my mom suddenly realized she had someone else’s glasses on. She started laughing so hard that we all started laughing.

LOLOLOL Love this. I know exactly what you’re saying…what happens or doesn’t is whether or now we can see it. Hahaha. I think I’ve missed a lot of stuff.

Aha, so that’s how your blog title came about. And I got a big laugh from the post title. (I have so many prescriptions, I’d be in constant peril if I left the house.)

Thankfully your eye doctor was perhaps a bit more balanced! 😊 That’s a wonderful origin story for your blog – as someone who also can’t see beyond two feet without my glasses on.

That’s an interesting blog name origin story. I also received notice that I am due for an eye exam. With my double vision, I’m not too excited about subjecting my eyes to an exam. Without my glasses, I see double. But…I will make an appointment and see what happens.
