“a strong spirit transcends rules.”- prince

while the kinders were playing a farm game

with crops and cash,

some sold

some bought

some traded.

i thought all were farmers

until one came to me

to say:

“she doesn’t want to be a farmer. she said  she’s a jedi warrior!

that means she’ll be stronger than all of the rest of us!”

swafon.com

i told him that jedi and farmers are both very strong people.

both work hard and refuse to give up.

both try to do things peacefully.

and that

they could work together with no problem.

they would be good for each other.

they would help each other.

even a  jedi has to eat.

even a farmer has to stand up and be brave.

and they became a very powerful team.

The Running of the Goats at Sunflower Farm

After a day of grazing with the herd, our 44 Goat Babies go for a little adventure while their maaaaaas take a break and enjoy some grain in the barn. They love to run back and forth following their human friends! They often beat us on the way back! There is not much cuter than the pitter pat of all those feet.
(Rest assured…Our goat kids are sold to great families in pairs as pets or future milking goats.)

what a great day at the farm, where we met farmer chris, who taught us many things.

we learned that eggs come in all colors, and shapes, and sizes.

Image

we learned that the littlest of baby goats will follow us, just to be part of a group.

Image

we learned that even a strong-looking pony, needs to be gently cared for.

Image

we learned that it was nice to have someone waiting there to greet us when we returned back to the barn.

Image

and when the farmer on a tractor gave us a bumpy ride on a wagon,

we learned the world is even bigger than we thought,

and filled with many more wonders ahead,

 yet to discover.

and communicate their discoveries to those around them.”
