one of my dreams this year
is to learn to make bread from scratch
I look forward to
the peace, the poetry, the adventure.Â
the crust.

I bake bread often–just baked a challah yesterday. You’ll find it’s not difficult–and the scent of bread baking is wonderful. đ Enjoy!
I like the Neruda quote.

It’s been many a year but I used to LOVE making bread. There is nothing better than warm from the oven bread, butter, and the aroma!!!

You are industrious. There is nothing like home baked bread, it’s delicious and good for the soul as well.

It is something I have been promising myself to start – my mother makes her own bread and one of my sisters does often, too. Don’t know what I’m waiting for!

Used to make my own bread. But living in close vicinity of not one but TWO excellent bakeries, who draw you in with the smell and perfume of their baking skills, and having a huge choice of breads of all sorts when I am in Switzerland, is really rendering all intentions of self baking unnecessary. But it-s a beautiful thing, making one-s own bread. It is wholesome even if it isn-t.
Perfect words by Neruda too.

yes, I think it’s the process I’m into as much as anything. I try to eat pretty healthy so I’ll have to give a lot away as I travel in this journey

I like making bread, especially when you smell it baking in the oven.
It’s easy, but time consuming. Then you consume it!
