it’s not really a weekend at the lake house
with a group of friends
until someone
finds whatever they can
late at night
to saw through the plastic
and chop off a chunk of something in the kitchen.

when I wrote this title, I was thinking of that show, one of my favorites, and not well known here. that’s given me an idea for another post –

Oh, that’s interesting that you’re a fan, too. We’ve been on the last season for a while because we didn’t want to finish it.

hAhah; love that quote: I sometimes have something to eat at the ungodly hour of 3a.m ; the beast must be sated π

I really get that, and since I’m an early riser, I rarely meet that beast )

Don’t need a cottage for that. Or the weekend. Or hope that anything is left of the lunch you were hoping to bring with you to work…

I can’t go to bed without my midnight snack. After all, it’s been 6 hours since dinner.

It must be nice to have a lake house to go to, I wouldn’t mind something like that. Eating late can be fun, but I haven’t done that in a long while now.
Best wishes, Pete.

Oh I love eating random stuff in random peoples’ kitchens! Especially if it’s a friend of a friend, total anonymity π. I mean, it’s probably meant to be eaten, but you’re not quite sure and anyway tipsiness and hunger take over :D.

Perfect! You know you’re with family or friends when you’re sawing through the plastic to share a chunk of something at 2:00 a.m.
