I also love rainy nights, though at my age, I would rather be sitting on the porch enjoying them, than driving during them.

I remember rainy nights like those in London. These days, I tend to stay inside at night during bad weather.

I sent our cherished rescue mutt Ellie out into our rainy night here last night, Beth, and toweled her off when she came back in from the backyard. I wonder if she pictured it anything like the great archive photo you discovered from U of M above.

I love rainy nights, too. Wonderful when you can sit on a covered porch and later, cuddle up in bed, listening to it patter against the windows ;)

Yes. Today is a cuddle on the couch kinda day because I am not inclined to walk it the rain when the temps are not above 70!

What a beautiful photo that probably hasn’t changed one bit in all those years on a dark, rainy night. I live in the Pacific Northwest and you definitely have to love rainy nights to live here. :))

Yes, lots of rainy nights..and days..but really only in the winter and springs months. That’s why we’re the Evergreen state. ☺️ We have perfect beautiful summer and fall weather. Last year we had almost 4 months of dry weather.
In spite of all the rain we get, thunderstorms are very rare..so I really miss those good old fashioned Michigan thunderstorms!

Beautiful photograph…so moody and we can all identify with it. Rain at night is soothing, or scary when the lightening sounds like it’s in your backyard. LOL But it’s wonderful all the same.
